Hidden Gem & Video: Two Brothers Tap House in Warrenville

Jason Ebel is aware that Two Brothers Tap House has no real sign out front alerting people to the Warrenville pub and restaurant. The only sign to make sure you’re in the right place is a poster on the door reading, “Tap House Entrance.”

“It’s a running joke,” says Ebel, co-owner of the pub. “You have to know where you are going to get here.”

The lack of a sign hasn’t deterred crowds from finding the spot and getting a taste of freshly brewed, one-of-a-kind beer from the brewery.

Frothy-amber beverages to flow at Cantigny Park's 'Toast of the Prairie'

Cantigny Park welcomes beer connoisseurs on Tuesday, August 25, for “Toast of the Prairie.” The tasting event, beginning at 6:30 p.m., will feature the products of Two Brothers Brewing Company in Warrenville.

The evening will begin with brief remarks about the park's three-acre native prairie by the director of horticulture, Bob Waterman. Two Brothers will then discuss the art of beermaking and begin pouring samples of its five year-round offerings. Appropriately, one of the hand-crafted brews is Prairie Path Golden Ale.

Out & About: Rock Climbing -- Climbing to the top builds physical, mental strength

DO IT
In rock climbing, it’s one of the most important and difficult lessons you learn: Don’t look down.

It’s tempting to glance back to gauge how far you’ve come, but reaching the top requires the fortitude to continue climbing ahead.

Learning to rock climb at various safe climbing facilities in the suburbs can help build confidence and strength to make it to the top.
