Village Theatre Guild

Village Theatre Guild will conduct auditions for “Rabbit Hole” by David Lindsay-Abaire. They take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the theater at Park Boulevard and Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn.

The show will be performed weekends from Jan. 15 to Feb. 6, directed by Bill Burghardt.

Prospective members are invited to the Village Theatre Guild’s Season Kick-Off Picnic starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. The free event will be held at the theater located near the northwest corner of Butterfield Road and Park Boulevard, Glen Ellyn. No reservations are necessary.

Attendees will be treated to a special musical show and learn about ways to get involved in community theater, ranging from acting and directing to essential backstage functions.

“We have members who never seek the spotlight,” explains Lisa Dolnics, VTG president. “Finding just the right costume or knick-knack for the set is as vital as creating a memorable character. And, of course, we have wonderful actors and singers who do theater for the fun of it, having found their inner ham in high school, college or a community production.”
