Ladies to take a swing at diamond dig at ball field

For a little added spectacle, The Schaumburg Flyers professional baseball team will give hundreds of women the chance to hunt for a real Richard Allen Jewelers diamond ring at the Alexian Field Diamond Dig after the game Thursday, July 16.

The first 500 women 18 and older who attend the 7:05 p.m. game will receive a digging tool upon entrance. The tool will be used to find the diamond buried at an unspecified location on the infield just after the game. Valued at $1,500, the diamond ring is provided by game sponsor Richard Allen Jewelers.

Alexian Field is at 1999 S. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg. For details, call (847) 891-2255 or visit www.flyersbaseball.com.
