CHIT-CHAT: Kane County Fair is back, bigger and better, despite economy

This year, Kane County will celebrate its 141st annual fair, a perennial don’t-miss summer event for its low prices and diverse activities for the whole family. Larry Breon, who has served as President of the Board of the Kane County Fair for the past 15 years, looks forward to the fair each summer as an ongoing tradition people continue to enjoy and come back for year after year.

CHIT-CHAT: Naperville cast showcases Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The King and I”

North Central College will host “The King and I,” as the first of two summer musicals being performed at Pfeiffer Hall. Originally a book, the story was later adapted into a musical and movie. The show will be directed by Suzy Craig-Olsen, and performed by a talented cast mostly from the Naperville area.

Luchando Contra el Cancer/Fighting Against Cancer Family Health Fair

The University of Illinois Extension is promoting a healthy lifestyle for the Latino and Hispanic community, with Luchando Contra el Cancer.

The Fighting Against Cancer Family Health Fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the "New Cicero" Community Center at 2250 S. 49th Ave. in Cicero.

Family Fun in Wood Dale

TopGolf Chicago in Wood Dale is all about the family entertainment experience, which is why they are introducing their inaugural Family Fun Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31.

The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. each day.
