CHIT-CHAT: Local artist uses image of self to design for upcoming art show
The exhibit may sound gruesome, but the Midwest Collage Society believes the art in its latest show to be exquisite. The Darien-based arts group is presenting Layers 3, an exhibit of “Exquisite Corpses” — pieces of art which divide and portray the body in three distinct sections. Burr Ridge resident Eve Ozer is among the participating artists, who combined their individual head, torso and leg pieces — produced separately through a mix of art techniques, materials and collages — to create a disparate and intriguing final product.

TASTE OF THE TOWN: Tuscan beauty
Tuscany’s earthy cuisine is being brought to La Grange by the family of Francesca restaurants, which opened the Italian eatery’s newest location in the village.
Dubbed Francesca’s Bellezza, the La Grange restaurant joins 17 others that have sprung up across the city and suburbs since the first location was opened in 1992 on North Clark Street in Chicago. Joanna Strag, manager of the La Grange spot, says the name — which references the Italian word for beauty — is fitting for the charming space in which the restaurant has opened.
