Warm up at Culver’s and help fund Carol Stream parade

If you take a break from holiday shopping today at Culver’s in Carol Stream, you can help raise funds for the 2010 Carol Stream 4th of July Parade.

The Parade Committee is holding a fundraiser until 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Culver’s Restaurant, 290 S. Schmale Road. The committee will receive a portion of all sales today.

“Culver’s is great place to hold the fundraiser”, said Parade Committee Chairperson Kim Gieser. “Everyone eats, visits with friends and helps finance the July 4th Parade. It’s a lot of fun.”

Past parades have featured the St. Andrews Bagpipes from Springfield, the Jessie White Tumblers, the Glenbard North Marching Band, the South Shore Drill Team, the Lowdown Brass Band, Jimmy’s Bavarians, the Chicago Cubs Brass Band, Those Funny Little People, the Barefoot Hawaiians, Shrine units and many other bands, marchers and community groups.

The Carol Stream 4th of July Parade Committee is a group of volunteers who organize the annual parade. They work on the parade throughout the year. For more information on the parade or to volunteer to help the committee, visit www.carolstreamparade.com.
