Nouveau fun: Businesses host wine celebration to benefit Child Link
Several downtown La Grange businesses will open their doors as hosts to the seventh annual Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, to benefit the children of Child Link. Guests will be treated to hors’ d’oeuvres and desserts, and, of course, Beaujolais Nouveau, as well as other wines, as they mingle at each business.
Malia Arnett of La Grange, CEO of Child Link, says, “This event is a perfect way to celebrate with friends before we become busy with the holidays and hibernate for the winter. It’s sort of like a Mardi Gras with lots of well wishers enjoying an evening out together in downtown La Grange.”
Beaujolais Nouveau is a wine event celebrated globally on the third Thursday of November, marking the annual arrival of the wine.
Participating businesses:
• Francesca’s Bellezza, 75 S. La Grange Road
• Rocky Mountain Chocolate, 50 S. La Grange Road
• Bella Bacinos, 36 S. La Grange Road
• Knead Marketplace, 13 S. La Grange Road
• Nicksons Eatery, 30 S. La Grange Road
“We are very appreciative of all of our sponsors, volunteers, and attendees for helping raise funds and awareness of children in need,” Arnett adds. “We hope that everyone will enjoy their evening out in La Grange.”
Tickets cost $30 or two for $50 in advance, or $35 at the door, and can be ordered online at www.childlnk.org or by calling Child Link at (312) 377-4735.
