Wheaton’s own Sleeping at Last band to open for Lifehouse in Naperville
Multiplatinum-selling alternative band Lifehouse will perform the first outdoor concert in North Central College’s Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Sunday, July 26, at 455 S. Brainard St., Naperville. The evening will feature local bands The Lady Upstairs, composed of North Central College alumni, appearing at 6:45 p.m., and Sleeping at Last, a band from Wheaton, at 7:30 p.m., followed by Lifehouse at 8:30 p.m.

Lifehouse will play Naperville.
Lifehouse's hit, "Hanging by a Moment," was named the Most Played Song of 2001 by Billboard magazine. Another hit, "You and Me," stayed on the Billboard Top 40 for more than 60 weeks beginning in 2005 and stretching into 2006.
The group has toured North America and Europe with such artists as Pearl Jam, Everclear and Matchbox Twenty.
Billboard writes, "The potent, guitar-based 'Hanging By A Moment' stakes out a spot on the same ground as bands like Creed and Pearl Jam, possessing commercial accessibility without shedding the meaty musical substance that weeds out the poseurs from the real thing."
The band’s fourth album, "Who We Are," was released on Geffen in 2007. "Broken," the third single from the album, has appeared on such TV shows as "Grey’s Anatomy," "Criminal Minds" and "One Tree Hill."
The California band members — all in their mid-20s — are singer-songwriter-guitarist Jason Wade, drummer Rick Woolstenhulme, bassist Bryce Soderberg and recently added guitarist Ben Carey.
